Major Suckage

Hey, you remember that time we got in a car accident because the city doesn't salt the damn roads?

I do. It was yesterday.

And here's why it sucked;

1) It was a car accident

2) I'm a total hypochondriac and so when Sean cried after we hit the car OF COURSE it was because he had been seriously injured and NOT because two cars making contact is a touch noisy. It was a little fender bender.

3) Insurance companies SUCK, and ours even has the balls to not take claims on weekends. You know because car accidents don't happen on weekends. No wait, yeah they do........ apparently.

4) The gentleman in the back seat of the car we slid into, with the bloodshot eyes, emerged from the smoke billowing out of their can to inform us that he had whiplash. Of course.

5) WE WERE LATE FOR MY NEPHEW'S FIRST BIRTHDAY! GRRRR!!

So basically if you had an accident planned for yourself or a loved one.... seriously give some thought to calling it off. THEY SUCK.

  2. Following over from SITS.

    Glad you're okay! I mean, all the suckage notwithstanding. Fender benders are always a bit scary. Could the tardiness to the party have been construed as fashionable maybe? If so, I'll schedule one for myself next weekend. ;)

  3. We're all fine! It's hard not to over react with little ones in the car though!

    We definitely missed the boat on fashionably late BUT, walking into the party all like "Yeah we were in a car accident but we're here anyways' totally makes you a hero! So scratch that... minor fender benders for EVERYONE!!

  6. Oh no! I'm glad you are otherwise ok, but sorry about Smoky McPothead and his false whiplash. Hopefully they will be able to prove that he is a big liar.

  12. Oooo that DOES suck! Luckily I think a doctor will be able to disprove whiplash if he was faking it. I'm glad you and your son are safe though! :-)

  15. Popped over from SITS! After things calm down a little, you will realize that even though this all sucks, the fact that you walked away is awesome and you will feel blessed. After being smacked by an uninsured motorist, I fumed and cried and acted dramatic. But, when I tucked my unhurt son in the bed that night, all I could do was thank God. It will get better!

  18. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your's is so cute!! I'm sorry you had a wreck. (I never call them accidents because most of the time someone is doing something they shouldn't be doing to cause the wreck! Sounds like the other driver in your case!!)

    FYI I'm going to follow your blog!
